A roundup of the latest updates designed to simplify everyday work and improve customer experience.

Over the past few months, we’ve introduced a range of improvements designed to make everyday work simpler for your team and create smoother experiences for your customers.
From more flexible payment options and easier reservation purchases to expanded Digital Passes and more adaptable reporting, these updates give you more control while reducing manual work.
Here’s a roundup of what’s new and how you can start using it.
More flexible ways to pay
Let customers complete reservation purchases online
Customers can now pay online for reservations created by your ticketing and sales team. Send them a secure link instead of taking payment over the phone, giving customers more flexibility and reducing manual payment processing for your team.
- Easy to get started: This update requires minimal web development to integrate with your website, or it can be set up on a dedicated subsite at no additional cost.
- No customer login required: Customers can access their order through a secure link sent directly to their email address.
- Someone else can pay: A third party, such as a finance officer or school booker, can complete payment while the order stays linked to the original customer account.
- Split group payments: Enable partial seat purchasing so each person in a group can pay for one or more tickets, then share the same reservation link with others to complete the remaining purchase.
- Secure access: The link remains available until all tickets are purchased or the reservation times out. You can choose whether it expires after a set number of hours or days, or at a specific time and date.
Spend less time taking payments manually while giving customers a simpler way to complete reserved orders when it suits them.

Buy now, pay later with Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay now offer buy now, pay later (BNPL) options from providers such as Klarna, allowing eligible customers in the US, UK, and Canada to spread the cost of purchases.
When using Apple Pay and Google Pay through Spektrix Payments, these features are automatically available to eligible customers based on their location, with no additional setup or extra cost for your organisation.
- Receive payment upfront: You receive the full payment at the time of purchase, minus the standard fees that apply to card transactions.
- Give customers more flexibility: Customers can spread the cost of their purchase using the BNPL options available to them through Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Digital Passes
Use digital passes for memberships, student ID, and more
Digital Passes can now include customer data such as IDs and membership fields, helping you validate eligibility for entry, discounts, and other benefits.
Membership details, including membership name, start date, and expiry date, can now also be synced into Dotdigital. Using the new Membership Card app block, you can pull this information into emails alongside the customer’s ID and links to add their Digital Pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Make membership visits easier to manage
- Admit members using your existing scanners, with no pre-booking required.
- Record member visits, benefit usage, and discounts in your CRM.
- Manage included guest entries and prevent additional uses once the allowance is reached.
Create scannable passes for your EPOS system
- Create branded passes that pull Customer IDs and other data into a format compatible with the system you use to process transactions in your bar, cafe, or shop.
Check eligibility in real time
- Give your team the information they need to confirm eligibility for discounts or offers.
Keep passes on customers’ phones
- Let customers add passes directly to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Reduce the administration and cost of printing and mailing physical membership or ID cards.
- Give customers quick access without needing to find a physical card or old email.

Control whether Digital Passes can be shared
You can now choose whether Digital Passes, including Digital Customer Passes, can be shared after they’re added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Configure sharing for each template in the Spektrix Link Pass Designer, so you can match the setting to the needs of different events and pass types.
- Encourage customers to use your official ticket transfer or reselling processes.
- Reduce the risk of unauthorised access or duplicate entry.
- Restrict sharing where a pass is intended for a specific audience member, such as for memberships, age-restricted events, or premium experiences.
Reporting
Configure Standard Reports as you run them
Report Parameters are currently available for a selection of Standard Reports, with more to come. They give you more flexibility to adapt those reports without needing different report versions.
Before running or scheduling selected Standard Reports as PDFs or formatted Excel files, you’ll now see a Parameters option alongside the usual criteria. Use it to change how the report displays your data.
For example, in an Event Sales Report you can:
- Include ticket commission.
- Exclude tax on commission.
- Remove financial values to focus on sales volume.
Get the report you need more quickly, with less need to create or request separate variations.

Understand the revenue impact of your email campaigns
Measure direct and assisted revenue from your email campaigns using Dotdigital Advanced Revenue Attribution alongside sales data from Spektrix.
This gives you a broader view of campaign impact over time, including revenue from immediate clicks and later purchases influenced by your marketing. As well as ticket sales, you can see ROI data for donations, memberships, and merchandise, giving you insight beyond what’s available in the Spektrix ROI report.
Move beyond engagement metrics to understand how email contributes to transactions, report on results with greater confidence, and make more informed decisions.
