Makes: An automated monthly report you can use to track access tickets by sales channel

Recipe: Measure the Impact of Making Accessible Bookings Available Online
Making access tickets available online empowers access users to purchase tickets independently while reducing Box Office phone traffic. This recipe guides you through using tags and the Access Stats Report to track uptake over time and measure the shift from counter and phone sales to web.

What you need

  • Access to the Insights & Mailings Interface
  • The General Administrator User Role

Time Required

  • 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes monthly review)

What will this help me achieve?

  • Evaluate the impact making accessible bookings available online has across all sales channels.
  • Provide Front of House and Box Office teams with predictable access data ahead of performance dates.

Concepts we'll be using

  •  Sales Channels:  Categories (Web, Counter, Phone) used to compare customer purchasing behavior.
  •  Tags:  Labels attached to customer records to identify access requirements.
  • Access Stats Report: A custom report providing a channel breakdown of access bookers.

Prep

  1. Record your baseline:
  1. Note the total number of customers currently tagged with Access tags prior to enabling access bookings online.
  1. Record how accessible bookings are currently distributed across Counter, Web, and Phone channels.
  1. Verify access schemes and tags: Consider if you’ll be working with a partner such as Nimbus or All-In to deliver your access scheme.

Activate
  1. Run the Access Stats Report across your desired booking date range to analyse how making accessible booking online has changed customer behaviour across Counter, Web and Phone channels.
  1. Compare your Web stats with your baseline figures.
  1. Set up a  Report Schedule  to monitor Access bookings on a monthly basis.

Try This Twist: Share your monthly scheduled report with your Front of House teams, or run the report ahead of a specific event instance to anticipate customer support and seating requirements.
